Service 02 — Oversize loads
PROSNER s.r.o. of Klatovy, Czech Republic, carries oversize and heavy loads of up to 25 tonnes on its own flatbed and low-loader trailers: machinery, industrial equipment, steel structures, site cabins and entire modular homes. We obtain the permits, plan the route and provide the escort vehicle.
In the Czech Republic, a load counts as oversize (an abnormal load) when the loaded vehicle exceeds 2.55 m in width, 4 m in height, 16.5 m in length (tractor unit with semi-trailer) or a total weight of 48 tonnes. Such a transport requires a special road-use permit and, in many cases, an escort vehicle.

Modular buildings and accommodation units are regular loads for us. We load the module onto a low-loader, deliver it to the plot and, working with a crane, set it on the prepared foundations. We check the route beforehand, on the map and on the road – low bridges, roundabouts and narrow streets are full of surprises.
Machine tools, presses, switchgear, HVAC units, agricultural machinery. We secure the load with chains and straps to suit its weight and centre of gravity, and cover sensitive machines with tarpaulins. At the destination we can also move the machine into its final position – see our heavy machinery moving service.

Send us the dimensions, weight, loading and unloading locations and your preferred date. A photo or drawing helps too.
We plan the route around low bridges and bridge weight limits and obtain the permits from the relevant authorities.
We place the load on a flatbed or low-loader trailer and secure it against movement to EN 12195.
We travel at the permitted times and on the permitted route, with an escort vehicle where required.
On site we coordinate the crane or use our own equipment, and set the load in place.

Yes, we provide an escort vehicle with warning markings. Whether an escort is required depends on the dimensions of the load and the conditions of the permit.
Allow lead time for the permits: for routine oversize loads within the Czech Republic, anything from a few days to two weeks; for international routes, longer. Get in touch as early as you can – we confirm the date once we have assessed the route.
