Service 03 — Unloading without a ramp

Truck with its own forklift

PROSNER s.r.o., a Czech haulier based in Klatovy, runs a mega trailer that carries its own all-terrain truck-mounted forklift, a Moffett M5 NX. On arrival the driver takes the forklift off the rear of the trailer and unloads the cargo single-handed – on a building site, in a yard, in a field or in a narrow street. You need no ramp, no forklift of your own and no people to unload.

How it works

A Moffett is a compact three-wheel forklift that hangs on the rear of the trailer and travels with the load. On site the driver has it on the ground within minutes, opens the side of the trailer and starts unloading. All-terrain wheels take it across gravel and grass, so the pallet goes right up to the house, into the barn or into the warehouse.

Building materials, right onto site

Bricks, blocks, roofing, paving. We bring them straight from the manufacturer – from Germany and Austria too – and distribute the pallets around the site to where the bricklayers need them. The builder has no crane to book and no telehandler to track down.

Farms, factories, city-centre deliveries

We load hay and straw bales straight from the field. For manufacturers we deliver machinery and materials to plants that have no ramp. And in towns we unload the truck in the street, where the consignee’s conventional forklift could never venture out.

§ FAQFAQ

The questions we hear most

What is a Moffett?

Moffett is a brand of truck-mounted forklifts. The forklift hangs on the rear of a truck or trailer, travels with the load, and lets the driver unload pallets on site without a ramp and without anyone else’s equipment.

Where can a Moffett forklift go?

It has all-terrain wheels and a low weight, so it copes with gravel, grass, unpaved building sites and city paving alike. It will carry a pallet tens of metres from the truck.

Is delivery with a Moffett more expensive than a standard truck?

The surcharge for the forklift is usually lower than the cost of hiring a telehandler or crane and having people wait around on site. We price each job by route and number of pallets.

Do you also deliver materials from abroad?

Yes. We routinely bring building materials and goods from Germany and Austria straight to their destination in the Czech Republic – and carry Czech goods to customers abroad in the same way.
